This Sector of the Park offers rustic accomodation, accessible by hiking.
13 3.6 m x 3.6 m (12 ft x 12 ft) rustic platforms offer campers an opportunity to sleep under the stars. They are located near the Grande-Ourse hut. Campers are asked to erect their tents on the wooden platforms to protect the surrounding vegetation. Pegs to help anchor tents are available at the reception centre.
4 huts, each with a maximum capacity of eight people, are available upon reservation. The huts are located roughly 1 km (Petite-Ourse), 3 km (Col and Pelerins) and 2,2 km (Grande-Ourse) from the reception centre and are accessible by foot, or via skis (except Pelerins) or snowshoes. Each hut includes two double bunk beds, a table, benches and a wood stove.
Two huts are available for an unforgettable night in winter, spring and fall. The Voie lactée hut, at the peak of Mount Mégantic, has room for eight. The Mount St. Joseph hut accommodates two. They will take your breath away! Summit shelters do not have access to drinking water.
Four six-man prospector camps are available. Located roughly 2,2 km from the reception centre, they include double bunk beds, a table, benches and a wood stove.
The rustic shelter POLARIS, for 4 persons, is available. Located roughly 1 km from the reception centre, next to the Petite-Ourse hut, it includes double beds, a table, benches and a wood stove.
5 other camps are situated next to the Polaris. They can welcome 4 to 8 persons.
Frewood and outhouses are located near each shelter. Near Grande-Ourse and Petite-Ourse, you will find also water point (to be treated).
You will find 21 serviced campsites at the Franceville Sector, with 2 services, and 16 campsites without services.
You will also find 10 Huttopia Tents, ready-to-camp for the whole family !
You will find also 7 EXP chalets, for 2 persons. Two of them can welcome 4 persons.
Finally, there are 3 family chalets near the EXP, called ECHO, and 1 hut at the junction of the two sectors.
